The Challenge

• Based on the theme, the challenge requires the depiction of 2 parts ie. "PROBLEMS" & "GREEN SOLUTIONS"
• PROBLEMS: The challenge requires firstly a succinct articulation of a current state of affairs which can be in the form of product or environment
• GREEN SOLUTIONS: Based on the identified “problem”, the challenge requires a proposed solution of how “green technology” can improve or rectify that current state of affairs; ultimately providing a sustainable environment that will lead to possibility better way of life for our future generations
• The challenge is open to all university and / or college students only

Category A
Visual Art

This category calls on the advertising savvy to create a promotional campaign based on the theme and criteria of the challenge. The promotional campaign can be in 2D poster / 30 sec video or animation (video or animation must be accompanied with a story board).

The best works are selected according to form, function and emotional aspects of the message being communicated; the designs are considered for their degree of innovation, aesthetic qualities, functionality and usefulness in addition to ease of realization efficiency and human interaction.

Category B
Photojournalism

This category calls on creative expression through a series of photos that capture and portray the current issues and application of green technology and the promotions of green solutions in our daily routine.

The best works are selected according to technique, creative and emotional aspects of the work; the designs are considered for their degree of freshness, aesthetic qualities, functionality and charm in addition to ease of commercialization, sociopolitical aspects and awareness creation. Photos must be original and cannot be manipulated using third party software.

Category C
Product & Packaging Design

This new category promotes the use and application of green technology in designing a product. The product must take into consideration the entire environmental cycle which contributes to the development and disposal of the product such as environmental friendly materials, its contributing factors to the environment when in use and its end lifespan ie if the product is biodegradable and can be broken down into usable materials etc.

The best works will be selected according to form, functionality, creative and emotional aspects of the work; the designs are considered for their degree of freshness, aesthetic qualities, functionality and usefulness in addition to ease of commercialization, ergonomics and human interaction.

1st Prize :
RM 8,000 cash + certificate + trophy

2nd Prize: RM 5,000 cash + certificate + trophy

3rd Prize: RM 2,000 cash + certificate + trophy

All short listed teams will be awarded RM1,000 cash prize and Certificate of Distinction (max 10 entries per category).
Certificates of Participation will be awarded to all entries.
